Chapter 2: HTML

Second Quarter is finally over. I found this quarter to be easier than the previous one. This quarter introduces us to HTML. And this second quarter was a time of learning and discovery for me as I dug deeper into the world of HTML. Through HTML, I've learned a lot of tags, like the heading tags, the break rule and horizontal rule tags, formatting tags, the basic HTML tags, and more. I also learned how to add a background image, background color, font attributes, HTML image, link, and frames. And thanks to my education and professional experience, I've been able to put my knowledge to use and have a stronger understanding of the principles of this powerful web development language.

Even though I say that this quarter is easier, that doesn't mean I didn't encounter some challenges and problems. This quarter's challenges and problems are when I can't add the background image of my activity; the tags are correct, I followed the instructions, and I read my activity several times to ensure that nothing was wrong, but I still can't get the right result. At the time, I was frustrated and wanted to abandon the activity. But thanks to my classmates, they help me solve the problem; they help me find what the problem is and help me to focus more and to stay calm. We solved the problem thanks to them, and my task is now complete. In this challenge, I learned that you just need to be patient and calm; being frustrated and giving up so easily doesn't lead to a solution. So try and try until you find the answer to your problem.

Moving on, I will try my best to apply what I've learned today to the future. And this day on, I will strive more and try my very best in the next quarter. I am not sure what the next quarter will be like, but I will do my best to overcome the challenges and problems that this quarter will bring. I will try my best to learn more and to strive more.

A New Chapter

What does a new year mean to you? To me, a new year is similar to a sunset. Even though sunsets signify an end, they don't necessarily mean that something is over. It may also represent a fresh start or a new chapter in our lives.

We are flawed beings with both good and terrible characteristics. Setting New Year's Resolutions is a smart move to renew ourselves year after year. It is necessary to wash away bad habits and cultivate new, healthy ones as a way of life. What makes an ideal New Year's resolution? A New Year's Resolution is an idea that shapes and reflects you in a better way. Every year, we should refine our thoughts, establish positive habits, and improve our personalities.

Many people believe that the New Year is an opportunity to break bad habits and make positive and productive changes in their daily lives. People from all walks of life establish goals and make resolutions to live happier, more contented, peaceful, and prosperous lives. Resolutions are frequently established to stop bad and unproductive behaviors. All activities that waste time and accomplish nothing are erased and replaced with new activities that never waste time and bring about positive changes. It is really difficult to avoid uncontrolled activities that wreck our lives.

To me, time is the most precious thing. If I don't kill time now, it will kill me tomorrow. My new year's resolution is to be more productive, be organized, stop procrastinating, eat more healthy foods, exercise regularly, learn something new, do things I'm afraid of, learn to cook other foods, start a new hobby, let go of grudges, keep a journal, don't buy things I don't need, talk to myself with kindness, stop multitasking, drink more water, practice mindfulness, read more books, commit to a healthier sleep routine, learn to love vegetables, and more. In order to attain my mentioned resolutions and goals, I will make many changes in my day-to-day life. This year, I want to become an upgraded version of myself, and in order to achieve that goal, I need to improve myself.

Good manners shape our personalities. These changes will improve my personality. My New Year's resolutions will not only assist me in breaking bad habits and adopting good ones, but they will also brighten my future and make me successful at every stage of life.

Time is more important than anything else in life; however, realization of the importance of time will not occur to you right now because you are surrounded and engaged in many activities that appear beneficial to you; however, these wanton activities of yours will not benefit you in the future.

Time is a healer and a teacher; every now and then, it will teach you a lesson that no instructor or book has ever taught you. So, stop wasting time by chasing after all the unnecessary things, get rid of all the pointless activities, and arm yourself with the productive use of time. Persistence and consistency in work are keys to success. If you want to be successful, you must value your time and accomplish your tasks on time.

A Very Merry Christmas

"The Christmas tree is a symbol of love, not money." "When they're all lit up, they have a glory that surpasses anything all the money in the world could buy." Andy Rooney

Ask yourself, "What does Christmas mean to you?" Is it the Christmas presents? the much-anticipated reunions with family and friends? Is it the entire Christmas celebration, beginning with the first lights, sparkling window displays, and the sound of Christmas music in the frosty air, or is it the family gathering together to share one of the most significant days of the year? For every one of us, Christmas means something different, something uniquely individual.

Christmas, which began as a Christian holiday, has crossed religious, cultural, and social boundaries to become a highlight of the year for nearly everyone. Christmas brings light when the year is at its lowest and darkest point. The themes of hope, new beginnings, unity, togetherness, and celebration are deeply embedded in the Christian faith. And as humans, we have joyfully welcomed the arrival of light and brightness in the midst of endless darkness.

For me, Christmas is a joyous occasion. It's all about giving and helping others. People remember Jesus Christ and his life lessons on this day. The event surely teaches us to be nice and kind to one another and to aid those who have less than we do. In the Philippines, Christmas begins in September. They are already preparing for Christmas, with some starting to build huge Christmas trees, Christmas lights, and any other decorations that can be designed in the homes.

This year, we celebrated Christmas and New Year in La Union. I began my Christmas celebrations by completing and attending the Misa de Gallo. We left early on December 24 for La Union, where we rested briefly before helping our aunties and lolas with Noche Buena preparations. We attended the midnight mass at 8:30 in the evening. We went to Lola Mila's house after the mass to wait for and celebrate Jesus' birth. Everyone shared their stories and experiences as we waited, and we spoke about life and stuff. When the clock struck twelve, we started wishing each other "Merry Christmas." I also wished my mother and other special loved ones via text message. After the greetings, we go to the dining room to eat. There's a lot of food ready on the table: lechon, leche flan, barbecue, salad, Shanghai, siomai, different kinds of bread and coffee, soft drinks, and more. After eating and a lot of talking, everyone goes home and rests.

When I woke up the next morning, they were all preparing for the afternoon Christmas party: someone was cooking, someone was decorating, someone was arranging gifts and prizes, and so on. I joined them after eating breakfast. We began the Christmas party with the Mendoza Clan in the afternoon. There were numerous giveaways and prizes, as well as numerous activities and performances. We eat dinner once we've finished playing and watching. The celebration was indeed joyous.

Christmas is, indeed, a magical celebration that aims to bring joy and happiness. This is the season dedicated to celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Though this was its initial aim, the Christmas season has evolved into a symbol of living in peace and love. Christmas is essentially a reminder of why we should stay true to our humanity. That is, we are reminded to share, donate to the less fortunate, spend time with loved ones, and have a positive outlook on life in general through celebration.

Chapter 4: Sitemap and Microsoft FrontPage

This quarter, I had the opportunity to learn about numerous parts of web development, such as sitemaps and Microsoft FrontPage. By thinking ...
