"Protecting the environment is just as vital as protecting your own life."
The ecosystem is said to be the union of several communities of living creatures that interact with one another. Everything we require, including food, water, shelter, and even clothing, is typically provided by our surroundings. However, many of us do not consider the impact that our interactions with the environment have on nature. Actually, interacting with other species and the environment is natural and important, but we, as humans, have overestimated our ability to obtain what we require from our planet, and this is where difficulties arise.
Humans should be the light that shines in the lives of people who are suffering. We must protect our own lives as well as the lives of the animals and birds that reside in our surroundings. We should conserve the environment not only for living things but also for plants and trees, which provide us with oxygen that we need to breathe. Industrialized and developed countries are equally threatened by pollution and the negative environmental impact of human operations. Nature looks after us by providing us with clean air, clean water, and good food. Furthermore, it provides us with a variety of minerals and other resources that aid in the growth of our economy. And how can we repay the world for all it gives us? Adding more plastic to the oceans? Is there more pollution? Deforestation in tropical rainforest GIANT areas? We must be aware of the limitless and destructive repercussions that our desire and egoism have had on the earth.
Here are some activities we can all take as a teenager and as a student to help contribute to a greener future. We should not believe that a single individual cannot make a difference because change always begins with a single person's actions. We must start somewhere in order to achieve our goals.
1. Planting Trees. As the earth battles erosion that leads to landslides, tree roots keep the soil in place. Additionally, it collects and holds rainwater, which lessens runoff and post-storm sediment buildup. Additionally, it aids in replenishing the groundwater supply, stops the flow of pollutants into streams, and reduces flooding.
2. Cleaning our surroundings. Keeping the environment clean helps conserve endangered species, decreases pollution, and preserves the biosphere and the planet's natural resources.
